Our Story

Passion & opportunity landed Pagoda in Summerville, SC

After stumbling upon this quiet town, so many decades ago, we fell in love. Soon after, we partnered up and opened our first freestanding building in 1981. At the time, it was the first Chinese restaurant, or asian cuisine for that matter, in the Summerville area.

Now, years later, we're proud to be known for our food! We were ecstatic being the first to bring our Chinese-style chicken wings, to Summerville. We had our own formula, multi-spiced & marinated, batterless & fried. We tested, honed, and refined the mouth watering flavor throughout the years; and the rest is history!

We've ceaselessly endured the times; the closings & re-openings, renovations, hardships, and even inclement weather. Through our stubborn resilience we have been able to persevere; serving our loyal patrons day in and day out. Like extended family, we are proud to have seen our customers, their children, along with ours, grow. Thank you, Summerville!

In the beginning we wanted to give the community a taste of the unfamiliar; Chinese food. We wanted more than ever to let our flavors speak for themselves, and today, we still abide by those values.
